Freight Processing and Options

All orders are processed in order of payment receipt. We aim to despatch goods as quickly as possible, however despatch times may also vary during peak periods or according to stock levels etc, Customers requiring delivery to remote or non-mainland areas should note that delivery may incur additional charges, and may take longer than our standard 3 to 5 day service. We will advise you before processing your order if this is the case.

Next Day Delivery - Delivery by the end of the next working day to most areas depending on total freight weight (Please discuss options with Sales Department)

Standard Delivery - Delivery within 2 to 3 working days.

Rural Delivery - Delivery within 3 to 5 working days.

International Delivery - (Please discuss options with sales department)

 

Common Questions About Freight

 

Do I have to be available to receive my delivery

Most deliveries are sent with registered freight carriers who must obtain a signature at time of delivery - they are not permitted to leave goods without a signature, in the event that nobody is available to sign for the goods the freight carrier will return the goods back to our warehouse.

 

Can I get my order delivered to an address outside New Zealand

Yes. For more information on delivery to countries outside New Zealand please contact 09 2388919 any of our salesman, so we can advise the most suitable arrangements.

 

Can I track my order

In MOST cases the answer is yes. We use a range of contractors to deliver your order depending on your location and size of your order. Currently the only method of Post we casn provide is Standard Post, unregistered.
Be aware that although Standard Post is available, it can NOT be tracked as it does not get registered. The delivery will simply be in the Post and arrive when Australia Post deliver it. 
So where possible we recommend you choose a courier to deliver your order instead.

 

Freight Calculation

 

How is freight calculated

Freight charges are calculated depending on your delivery address and the total freight weight. Total freight weight is the greater value of actual weight or the cubic weight.
"Actual Weight" is the weight in kilograms (kg) of the items. 
"Cubic Weight" is calculated in kilograms (kg) from dimensions of the packaged items.

Please Note: Standard freight charges to NOT include lifting off (unloading) from transport delivery vehicle where the total weight of goods exceeds 50kg, If you are unable to provide appropriate lifting please contact us for a quote on delivery that includes unloading.
 

 

When is freight calculated

Our shopping cart will calculate the weight of the goods that you order and display the results during the checkout process.

 

What happens if the charge can not be calculated

Due to the bulkiness of a lot of our products, freight charges are much harder to accurately calculate. In this case when the calculation is unable to provide you with an indicative price, we will advise you as part of your order confirmation process.

 

Where does my selected item get sent from

In most cases your order is delivered from your closest store, in the event that your closest store does not have stock to fulfill your order, the freight calculation will revert back to our main warehouse in Sydney.

How can I order online and pick up from store?

Once you go through the check out you will be asked an option for delivery or pickup. Click on the pickup option. You can pay on arrival at the store or you can pay online, This will also give you the option to send the invoice to your billing address.
# PLEASE NOTE: To avoid disappointment, you should confirm that your order is ready before collection.

 

 

Returns / Exchanges

 

We understand that sometimes you may need to return a product you have purchased from a Woodworking HQ store, to assist you, we have set out below the Woodworking HQ Returns Policy that you should know.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

1. You shall inspect the Goods on delivery and shall within seven (7) days of delivery (time being of the essence) notify Woodworking HQ of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, damage or failure to comply with the description or quote.

2. You shall also afford Woodworking HQ the opportunity to inspect the Goods within a reasonable time following delivery if you believe the Goods are defective in any way.

3. If you shall fail to comply with these provisions the Goods shall be presumed to be free from any defect or damage. For defective Goods, which Woodworking HQ has agreed in writing that you are entitled to reject, Woodworking HQ's liability is limited to either (at the Woodworking HQ's discretion) replacing the Goods or repairing the Goods except where you have acquired Goods as a consumer within the meaning of the Trade Practices Act 1974 or the Fair Trading Acts of the relevant state or territories of Australia, and is therefore also entitled to, at the consumer's discretion either a refund of the purchase price of the Goods, or repair of the Goods, or replacement of the Goods.

Returns will only be accepted provided that:
(a) You have complied with the provisions outlined above, and
(b) where the Goods are unable to be repaired, the Goods are returned at your cost within thirty (30) days of the delivery date, and
(c) Woodworking HQ will not be liable for Goods which have not been stored or used in a proper manner, and
(d)the Goods are returned in the condition in which they were delivered and with all packaging material, brochures and instruction material in as new condition as is reasonably possible in the circumstances.

4. Woodworking HQ may (at their sole discretion) accept the return of Goods for credit but this may incur a handling fee of up to fifteen percent (15%) of the value of the returned Goods plus any freight costs.

5. Where a failure does not amount to a major failure, Woodworking HQ is entitled to choose between providing you with a repair, replacement or other suitable remedy.

6. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by a defined time. However, the Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period can vary from product to product, depending on factors such as the nature of the product and the price. Woodworking HQ adopts the same approach. As you can appreciate, the type of remedy we can offer you may also vary depending on how long it takes you to return the product to us.

Goods may be returned to Woodworking HQ provided that:
(i). You (the purchaser) must return your goods within 14 days of the intial request.
(ii). A return authorisation is not a credit note, and it is not an agreement for replacement or refund, this will be determined upon the receipt of your goods to the designated Woodworking HQ Branch.
(iii). Prior approval or a reference 'return authorisation number' must be provided by Woodworking HQ.
(iv). Refunds will only be processed if the goods are returned in original packaging and in a re-sellable condition except where special arrangements have been made.
(v). The buyer is responsible for all freight costs except where special arrangements have been made or goods have been incorrectly supplied.
(vi). All necessary information is supplied by you the purchaser.
(vii). If the above conditions are not met, Woodworking HQ reserves the right, at its own discretion to cancel and dishonour a 'return authorisation' request.
